EmbrACE a greener world
ACE Invests in Eco-Friendly Data Structures.
As every year ACE has sent New Year cards to all its contacts. In the past years this has been combined with an investment in the environment.
In 2010, ACE will donate two water wells to the community in Atronie, a village situated in the Brong-Ahafo region in Ghana. Next to the village and close to last year's fruit tree project, a special team from the Afrikaad Foundation will dig these wells by hand. Over a thousand people will enjoy clean drinking water by using a hand pump which is easy to use and maintain.
Stichting Afrikaad executes this project.
In 2009 ACE decided to plant trees for each of ACE's contacts. Fruit trees have been donated and planted by half a dozen farmers in the Volta district in the south of Ghana, one tree for each of ACE's contacts. The resulting harvest will be sold, where part of the proceeds will be for the farmer and the rest will be donated to a nearby school.
